MATEM MEDIA LTD is a small UK media company, registered in England and Wales and run by its two directors, Matthieu and Emma.

What we make

One brand, many places

Right now we make one brand, Pebble the Pangolin: calm, slow stories for children aged 3–7, told across YouTube, a website, an app (coming soon to iPad and iPhone) and Instagram for grown-ups.

Pebble keeps its own name, look and rules. You'll find the Matem Media name in its small print, as the company that makes it.

Pebble is a cartoon, made with animation and AI tools. Scripts written by a person.

More brands will join as we grow them.

Our stance on AI

How we use AI tools

We use AI tools to help make some of our work, including drafts, pictures, animation and voices. A person decides what we make and approves everything before it goes out.

    People decide what we make, and a person reviews and approves everything we publish.

  • Disclosed

    We label our content wherever AI tools made or shaped what you see or hear.

  • No hype

    We don't claim our tools are intelligent, creative or always right.

  • Extra care for children

    Pebble is made for children aged 3–7. It is labelled as animated and AI-assisted, and every video and app update gets an extra child-safety check before release.
